CELTIC are in talks with Tottenham over a loan move for Victor Wanyama, according to reports from down south.
Reports earlier claimed that the Hoops could land their former player in a shock £8million Deadline Day move.
Now the have claimed the Parkhead club are discussing a temporary switch for the Kenyan with Spurs.
Spurs are reportedly expected to pay a significant portion of Wanyama's £60,000-a-week wages as part of any deal.
However, an option to buy the midfielder in the summer would reportedly also be included, although the transfer fee could ultimately prove to be a problem.
While Celtic are keeping an eye on potential Deadline Day business, they are reportedly concerned about Wanyama's long-term fitness.
And Parkhead sources have played down reports they are locked in talks with Spurs and suggested the Kenyan WON'T be making a dramatic Deadline Day return to Celtic Park.
Wanyama became a fan favourite at Celtic during his two years at the club between 2011 and 2013.
