Ravel Morrison to make international debut aged 27 as ex-Man Utd wonderkid is called up to Jamaica squad
RAVEL MORRISON is set to make his international debut for Jamaica next month, aged 27.
The former Manchester United midfielder has been called up for the friendly clash against Catalonia in Spain.
The 27-year-old has been shipped out on loan to Middlesbrough this season after falling out of favour with Sheffield United.
But Jamaica are looking to assess all of their options ahead of their qualifying campaign for the 2022 World cup.
According to The Star, Morrison has already been in contact with Jamaica chief Roy Simpson.
He is expected to be named in the squad for the match in Barcelona on March 30.
He kicked off his career with United - where he was lauded by Sir Alex Ferguson as the best player to emerge from the United academy in decades.
And he was part of the team alongside Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard who won the FA Youth Cup in 2011.
But Morrison was sold to the Hammers in 2012 for £650,000 after a series of off the pitch issues at Old Trafford.
