Arsenal one of FOUR London clubs in transfer fight for Dejan Lovren with £18m Liverpool defender weighing up options
ARSENAL are one of four London clubs eyeing up Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren, according to reports.
The Croat, 30, has one year left on his current deal and Jurgen Klopp is willing to let him leave when the transfer window reopens.
According to , the Gunners are ready to make an offer for the centre-back.
But Mikel Arteta already has David Luiz, Shkodran Mustafi, Sokratis and Rob Holding - currently out injured - in his squad.
Pablo Mari is on loan but expected to sign permanently in the summer with William Saliba returning from his loan at Saint-Etienne as well.
Arsenal have also been linked with RB Leipzig sensation Dayot Upamecano who would undoubtedly walk into the starting XI at the Emirates.
The North London club are also keen on Lille's Gabriel Magalhaes, Samuel Umtiti of Barcelona and unsettled Bayern Munich man Jerome Boateng.
However, should they make an attempt to sign Lovren they could face competition from rivals Tottenham as well as West Ham and Crystal Palace who are also understood to be interested.

If Lovren does leave Liverpool in the summer, he would prefer to stay in England and London would be his destination of choice.
However, the report also adds that teams in Italy, Spain, Germany and France have all made approaches.
Liverpool are hoping to get £18million for the defender who joined from Southampton for £20m in 2014.
Despite being a regular starter in his opening four seasons at Anfield, he has dropped down the pecking order in Klopp's side.
Joe Gomez is the first-choice partner for Virgil van Dijk at the back with Joel Matip also ahead of Lovren.
This season he has featured just 14 times across all competitions.
