And Real Madrid are apparently ready to sell with Rodriguez’s contract expiring in 2021.

The playmaker has long been linked with a switch to England’s top flight.

The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been interested at some stage over the years.

Rodriguez, 28, made his name in Europe with Porto, where he won three league titles and the Europa League, before sealing a £40million move to Monaco in 2013.

He had an incredible 2014 World Cup, finishing it as top scorer.

And that saw Rodriguez secure his dream move to Real Madrid, where he landed two Champions League and one La Liga title.

However, the midfielder eventually fell out of favour under Zinedine Zidane and ended up spending two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich.

Rodriguez returned to the Bernabeu last summer but has made just seven league appearances this season.

And he now looks set for a new adventure in the Premier League.

Arsenal could look to sign Rodriguez as a replacement for Mesut Ozil, who faces an uncertain future at the Emirates.

But Everton are managed by Carlo Ancelotti, who has a great relationship with Rodriguez after signing him for both Real and Bayern.

Meanwhile, Wolves have a strong connection with his agent Jorge Mendes.

However, it remains to be seen just where Rodriguez ends up.
