ARSENAL and Liverpool received a transfer boost with Adama Traore's agent hinting at a summer move.

The Wolves winger, 24, is in high demand after a stunning season for Nuno Espirito Santo's side.

He scored six goals and registered ten assists by the time the campaign was suspended due to coronavirus.

And the Covid-19 pandemic could put a block on any potential move if the transfer market fails to recover.

However, Rodri Baster - Traore's representative - reckons his client could be making the switch when the transfer window reopens.

He told : "I can't talk about contractual situations because it's a private matter, but Adama was having a good season.

"And with his age, conditions and the fact he's a very appealing player, there would have been a market for him, no doubt about it.

"We have to hope for the situation to normalise itself and hope that it won't affect him this summer."

Arsenal are understood to be interested in the muscle-bound wide man but would face strong competition from Liverpool.

The runaway Premier League leaders were impressed by Traore's performance against them earlier in the season as Jurgen Klopp hailed the winger.

The Kop boss said: “He is unplayable in moments, it’s unbelievable. What a player – it’s not only him but he’s so good.”

Traore came through the youth ranks at Barcelona but despite making his debut at 17, it did not work out as planned and he left for Aston Villa in 2015.

One failed season at Villa Park saw him sold to Middlesbrough where he continued to show plenty of threat with his electrifying pace.

But it was only after joining Wolves in 2018 that he started to shine in the Premier League and add the end product his game was desperately missing.

And he underwent an amazing body transformation, going from scrawny to hench thanks to diet and exercise.

Despite his Barcelona past, the Wolves ace admitted he would have no problem signing for arch-rivals Real Madrid should Los Blancos come in for him.

Any club looking to land the Spaniard will need to splash the cash.

There were figures of £80m or even £90m suggested for Traore but the latest reports suggest, given the current economic climate in football, £70m would be enough.
