PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN star Kylian Mbappe will reportedly only extend his stay at Parc des Princes if his new deal includes a clause that will allow him to join Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old - who is believed to have been offered a £600,000-a-week contract to remain in France - is contracted to the Ligue 1 champions until 2022.

And such is PSG's fear that they could lose Mbappe at the end of the season, they are prepared to let him leave on a free in two years time as they desperately try and keep him for as long as they can.

It has even been suggested they would rather the World Cup winner rot on the bench for the next two seasons than to sell him to Real in the summer.

Due to the coronavirus crisis, it is understood Madrid won't make a move for Mbappe until next year - where they hope they can tempt PSG into negotiations.

But the French side are hopeful their prized asset will sign the contract on the table, which would make him the fourth highest-paid footballer in the world.

, Mbappe will only pen a new deal should a clause be inserted allowing him to move to Madrid should Real match PSG's asking price.

That fee they claim would be in the region of around £194million.

This would create a win-win situation for both the player and the club, with Mbappe to double his salary, and PSG to ensure they wouldn't lose him on a free.

And due to the current economic state, Real may not be even able to afford such money within the next two years.

AS state that Zinedine Zidane's plan was to make a move for Mbappe in the same way they signed Eden Hazard - waiting until he has one year left on his contract.

Mbappe - who has scored 90 goals in 120 games for PSG - is also said to be attracting the interest of Liverpool.

It has been claimed that Jurgen Klopp has called the forward's dad to discuss whether he would be open to joining the Reds.
