IN-SANE PRICE

Bayern ‘launch £35m Sane transfer bid months after lining up £88m offer as they agree five-year deal with Man City star’

BAYERN MUNICH have reportedly bid just £35million for Manchester City ace Leroy Sane – just months after considering shelling out £88m for him.

The German champs are long-term admirers of the winger who City paid £46m for when they signed him from Schalke in 2016.

Bayern Munich are confident of signing Leroy Sane for a knockdown price of just £35m

But according to German newspaper , Bayern believe they can get their man for a knockdown fee.

And it is reported that they have even agreed a five-year contract with the 24-year-old.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused panic throughout European football, and players’ values are likely to take a hit.

And Bayern are hoping to take advantage to bag the 21-cap German international.

It was reported last week that Sane “spent 30 minutes on the phone” with Bayern boss Hansi Flick ahead of a possible summer transfer.

Sane’s contract at City will run out in the summer of 2021.

Bayern tried to sign Sane last summer but failed to meet the £88m asking price.

And talks were further complicated when the 24-year-old sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in August’s Community Shield match against Liverpool.

Sane still has a contract offer on the table at the Etihad but has so far shown no signs that he will renew his deal.

And Premier League champions City may look to cash in whenever the transfer window opens rather than lose him for free in a year’s time.
