Daniel Sturridge targets return to football with David Beckham’s Inter Miami after serving four-month betting ban
DANIEL STURRIDGE is reportedly plotting a stunning return to football with David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
Goal claims the former Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City star could be heading across the Atlantic to Major League Soccer once his four-month betting ban ends in June.
Sturridge, 30, was banned from all football-related activities in March after he was found guilty of two breaches over transfer information given to family members.
An independent appeal board later whacked up the ban and doubled an initial fine to £150,000.
Sturridge then saw his contract with Turkish side Trabzonspor terminated “by mutual consent.”
But he will soon be free to join a new club.
And it’s reckoned Sturridge could be on the move to Miami for a reunion with old England pal Beckham.
DC United, Wayne Rooney’s old side, are also said to be interested.
And Sturridge is already training in America ahead of a potential free transfer.

Speaking in a podcast with Oxford Union last week, Sturridge said: “I think firstly, it is about going back to doing what I love, which is playing football.
“That’s the most important thing. I love the game, I miss the game.
“I can’t wait to get out there and help my team win games, score goals and get assists.
“That’s my main focus. I am training in America at the moment. I am getting my body right and getting in good shape.
“I will be ready and raring to go when my ban is up. I am eagerly awaiting that.
“I am really excited about that and it being over with and getting on with it.”
Sturridge started his senior career with Man City in 2006, where he scored six goals in 32 games before joining Chelsea three years later.
Sturridge netted 24 times in 96 games for the Blues while also taking in a loan at Bolton Wanderers.
And his time at Stamford Bridge was a roaring success as he won the 2010 Premier League title, the 2012 Champions League and TWO FA Cups.
However, Sturridge was surprisingly sold to Liverpool in 2012 and went on to score 67 times in 160 games for the Reds while also spending time on loan at West Brom, landing himself a second Champions League winners medal in 2019.
Sturridge secured a switch to Trabzonspor soon after that but saw his time in Turkey come to an abrupt end after scoring seven times in 15 games.
