ARSENAL fans are convinced legend Santi Cazorla is ‘coming home’ after the Gunners tweeted his photo at the Emirates next to a simple but compelling message.

Underneath a snap of the crowd favourite, who has been linked with a Spanish dream ticket coaching partnership with Arsenal boss Mike Arteta, were the words: "Santi. That's it. That's the tweet."

Playmaker Cazorla, 35, whose Villarreal contract runs out this summer, has already admitted he would love to return to the Emirates, especially as a shocking leg injury robbed of a "proper goodbye" in 2018.

And earlier this year he said he still dreamt of playing "one more game" for the Gunners.

Now Arsenal's social media suggestiveness has left supporters drooling over the "magician" possibly taking a leading role as a coach.

Many urged the Gunners to "bring him back" and queued up to label him one of the top Arsenal stars of the past two decades.

One said: "Best player of the Emirates Era, alongside Mesut (Ozil) and Alexis (Sanchez).

And another added: "This is a very Santimental tweet. Bring him home already, will you?"

Similar glowing messages included: "Nothing but love for that man" and "I'll say it once again. Bring back the magician".

Some Gooners even suggested the 81-cap veteran would still offer more than some of the current Arsenal midfielders.

Just last month he told Spanish football expert Guillem Balague he wanted to become a coach, albeit after playing on two more years.

And back in January he told : "I don't know if it's possible or not, but I want to play one more game for Arsenal before I retire.

“It was a deep regret that I could never have a proper goodbye. Arsenal was the biggest club I ever played for.

“I’m proud that I was an Arsenal player. I'm especially grateful for Arsenal fans who supported me even after I left the club."
