BRUNO FERNANDES was spotted out shopping in Cheshire just a day after he scored in Manchester United's 1-1 draw at Tottenham

The Portuguese star nipped out in his Mini and seemed unfazed by Patrice Evra's comments blasting the comparison between him and Paul Scholes as a "crime".

Fernandes' face was covered by a mask as he carried two bags of shopping out of Booths Supermarket in Hale Barns near his Cheshire home.

He made his way to the driver's door of his Mini where he joined a male companion who was waiting in the front seat.

Fernandes' penalty rescued a point for United on Friday after Paul Pogba was brought down by a clumsy Eric Dier.

And just moments later it looked like he might have won all three points for the Red Devils when Jon Moss pointed to the spot again.

Fernandes went down under a challenge from Dier again but the VAR overturned the decision.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently compared United's new addition to Paul Scholes but Sky pundit and former Red Devil Patrice Evra was not impressed.

He said: "I was in shock when Ole compared him [Fernandes] to Scholes, because I think when you compare a player to Scholes it is a crime.

"But actually I understand what he means, the way he dictates the game. Since he arrived, its the first time I have seen a player being in charge at United.

"You can see his position, he always wants the ball, he's always in the right place, he plays really simply.

"I was really, really surprised when I saw the impact Fernandes had for Man Utd, so I hope he will play in the same way he was playing before [coronavirus stopped football]."
