Swans beat the Gunners 3-1 at their training ground

The Welsh club beat their opponents 3-1 on the day despite the presence of the likes of Tomas Rosicky, Serge Grabry, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Wilshere in the Gunners’ line-up.

It was Gnabry that got the away side’s goal that gave them hope at 2-1.

But Swansea had already been 2-0 ahead thanks to Adam King’s header and Kenji Gorre’s curler — and substitute Alex Bray confirmed the home side’s 3-1 win.

At one point Wilshere was on the ground with a fresh injury scare, but he brushed himself off and got on with his game.

Wilshere has been in the press for the wrong reasons in recent weeks after an alleged scuffle outside a nightclub.

But the 24-year-old has also shown determination to get back into the Arsenal first-team with a fine performance in the Gunners’ 3-1 Under-21 win against Newcastle, but was not used on Monday against Derby.

Arsene Wenger has also said he will only let Wilshere go to the Euros with Roy Hodgson’s England squad if he is positive the livewire midfielder is 100 per cent fit.

The Frenchman said two weeks ago: “Once Jack is completely fit, he will be available for Arsenal and for England.

“We have to be cautious with him because you never know how a player will respond after hard training sessions.”
