ENGLAND have jetted off to the Euros — looking utterly miserable!

The Three Lions squad have decided to fly out rather than take the Eurostar because of the amount of baggage they are taking to France.

And they looked like they were carrying the weight of 50 years of tournament failure with them as just THREE men out of the 23 players and management duo could muster a smile as they boarded their flight from Luton airport.

Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane and Kyle Walker were the only men pictured grinning as the Three Lions posed on the runway.

And it was no surprise that Vardy arrived feeling chipper, with the Leicester striker the subject of a £20million bid from Arsenal that would see him land a £120,000-a-week payday.

Eighteen-year-old striker Marcus Rashford was one player that might have been over the moon, but even the Manchester United man seemed glum.

Roy Hodgson turned up looking confused by a customised bag that had his initials embodied on it — and possibly the secrets to Euro 2016 success.

The Three Lions boss then offered a wave before applauding well-wishers as he climbed aboard the flight.

England will set up camp at their Chantilly training base, where Hodgson has installed Fort Knox-style security.

The Three Lions boss is so concerned about opposition scouts spying on his training and tactics ahead of the Euros, he insisted that seven-foot tarpaulin screening was erected around the entire perimeter.

The secluded spot north of Paris is now the most secure in the history of the national team at a major tournament.

England will now continue their preparations for their opening Group B game against Russia in Marseilles on Saturday June 11.

The Three Lions then face Wales in Lens on Thursday June 16 before their final group against Slovakia on Monday June 20 in Saint-Etienne.

The top two sides will automatically qualify for the knockout stages and the third-placed side also advancing if they are one best four teams of the six third-place finishers.
