Forget Jose Mourinho… Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the man to bring Premier League glory back back to Manchester United

JOSE MOURINHO has one job to do this summer... Bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United.

No need to worry about a major Old Trafford overhaul just yet, if the Special One can bring the Swedish striker to the red half of Manchester, they should be just fine.

And it’s not Zlatan’s goals, charisma or even his wealth of experience.

No, the reason Ibrahimovic is a necessity for United — or any team really — is his phenomenal knack for winning league titles.

The superstar Swede, 34, has won an incredible, unparalleled 13 top flight titles in his last 15 seasons in the game.

Granted the striker — capped 112 times by his country — has played for some astonshingly good teams, including Inter Milan, AC Milan, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but that is still some feat.

Clearly, as the man himself will tell you, Zlatan is a natural-born winner — something Manchester United have been lacking since Sir Alex Ferguson bid Old Trafford farewell.

And Ibra has not been riding any coat-tails, despite his massively talented team-mates.

Over the past three seasons, despite his so-called ‘advancing years’, he has netted a staggering 83 goals.

Only three men in all of Europe can top that. The Big Three at that: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.

Ibrahimovic has won all four of his seasons in Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain, including one title at AC Milan and three at cross-town rivals Inter.

He bagged another top flight crown at La Liga giants Barcelona as well as two at Juventus at two at Ajax.

Of the two years he didn’t win a league title — the 2002-03 season with Ajax and the 2011-12 campaign at AC Milan — he ended up second.

To sum up for all excited United fans, since leaving Sweden in 2001, Ibrahimovic has won 13 league titles and never finished lower than second.

Still think Mourinho is the man to bring back the glory days? Maybe so. But Zlatan could be THE man.
