Moussa Sissoko to Arsenal: Midfielder confirms he wants to leave Newcastle and talks up move to ‘beautiful’ Gunners

The 26-year-old is currently away on Euro 2016 duty with France and has spoken of his desire to quit relegated Magpies

MOUSSA SISSOKO has confirmed that he wants to leave Newcastle, and has issued a come-and get-me plea to Arsenal.

The midfielder, who is currently on international duty with France at Euro 2016, has called the Gunners “one of the best European teams” and spoke of his desire to leave the Magpies following their relegation to the Championship.

Speaking to Foot Mercato, combative midfielder Sissoko, who has won 35 caps for France, said: “Today, if I played in the Championship, I would put my place with the French national team in jeopardy and in terms of many other things. I have already had a discussion with [Rafa Benitez].
