Gianluigi Buffon and stunning wife look in incredible shape as pair take dip in river ahead of Juventus’ Serie A return
LEGENDARY keeper Gianluigi Buffon stayed local for his holiday this summer and opted to take in the natural beauty of Italy.
With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Juventus stopper whisked his family to the northern town of Bagnone ahead of the Serie A campaign on September 20.
While many other football stars adopt a more luxurious holiday in Dubai or Mauritius, Buffon was happy to take a soak in the stream that runs through Treschietto.
The 42-year-old was joined by his wife Ilaria D'Amico and his three children.
He has two sons with ex-wife and model Alena Seredova who he divorced in 2014 following a three-year marriage.
Buffon soon met D'Amico and the duo had the first child together at the beginning of 2016 called Leopoldo Mattia.
D'Amico, who flaunted her figure in a tight black swimsuit, formerly worked as a sports presenter in Italy.
Buffon also looked in terrific shape ahead of the new season - number 26 in his remarkable career.
He still has one year left on his contract at the Old Lady following his emotional return to the club from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
Although he is forced to play second fiddle to Wojciech Szczesny who cemented his role as Juventus' No1.
Eventually, Buffon is thought to be set for a role in the Juventus backroom alongside the likes of fellow on-field hero Pavel Nedved, now serving as club vice-chairman.
Last May, Buffon told CNN that the life of a national team coach was appealing to him for when he eventually does hang up his gloves.
He stated: "I wouldn't want to be the coach for a team, but I'd love to be the coach of a national team.
"I'd love to meet other players, see other places in the world and I want to be known in other places.
"So the idea of becoming the coach of a national team, to live in another country, to learn another language, adapt to a new lifestyle and another way of thinking, would first and foremost help me improve as a person."
