Paris Saint-Germain table outrageous £153million bid for Barcelona superstar Neymar to replace departed Zlatan Ibrahimovic
French giants activate Brazilian ace's release clause as they look to bring the 24-year-old forward to Ligue 1 this summer
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have tabled an outrageous £153million bid for Barcelona superstar Neymar.
The French giants are looking to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic - a summer target for Manchester United - with the Brazilian, 24.
The whopping sum has activated the release clause in Neymar's contract.
After four trophy-laden seasons with PSG - winning four Ligue 1 titles in a row - Zlatan Ibrahimovic has left the French capital on a free.
And with very large boots to try to fill, the money-bags Parisien side are willing to spare no expense in ensuring they remain the most successful team in France.
Earlier this summer, Neymar's agent Wagner Ribeiro confirmed that his client would be willing to discuss terms with PSG.
Ribeiro said: "If PSG show an interest in Neymar, we can discuss it.
"A contract can also be terminated provided that the release clause is paid.
"It’s huge. €193m (£153m). But I don't think that would be an insurmountable problem for them."

Ribeiro also added that the lure of living in the French capital would certainly be appealing to Neymar.
He added: "He feels good in Barcelona, he’s loved over there, and he’s playing for the best team in the world.
"It’s no small feat to impose yourself at such an enormous club.
"But the prospect of living in a city like Paris and to play for a club like PSG – that’s also a dream for every player."
Neymar's contract at the Nou Camp club only runs until June 2018 - meaning the Catalan giants may aim to cash on the superstar while they can.
The Brazilian star netted 24 goals in 34 appearances for Barcelona in 2015-16.
Recently, Neymar's contract was leaked onto the internet, with it revealing the star man earns a mere £77,000-a-week.
Meanwhile, team-mate Lionel Messi earns roughly £250,000-a-week AFTER tax.
If PSG truly are willing to put their money where their mouth is, Neymar may decide to cash in himself and make the trip to Paris as early as this summer.
