Morrison made just four appearances for the Blades before featuring another three times during a loan stint with Middlesbrough.

But he failed to get his career back on track and is now set to start the latest chapter of his underwhelming career.

According to , Morrison has held talks with the Eredivisie strugglers and is expected to sign a deal in the coming days.

Morrison was regarded as United's brightest prospect when coming through the Red Devils academy in 2010.

Wayne Rooney even claimed he was a better player than Paul Pogba while Rio Ferdinand suggested he should have been a £100million superstar.

But he was plagued with behavioural issues off the field including being convicted of intimidating a witness to a knife point robbery.

In 2012, Man United finally lost patience with Morrison and reluctantly allowed him to join West Ham.
