Man Utd flop Ravel Morrison set to join ADO Den Haag on free transfer after being released by Sheffield United

MANCHESTER UNITED flop Ravel Morrison is on the brink of joining Dutch side ADO Den Haag - the 11th club of his career.

The 27-year-old is a free agent after Sheffield United opted against extending his current contract.

, Morrison has held talks with the Eredivisie strugglers and is expected to sign a deal in the coming days.

Morrison was regarded as United's brightest prospect when coming through the Red Devils academy in 2010.

Wayne Rooney even claimed he was a better player than Paul Pogba while Rio Ferdinand suggested he should have been a £100million superstar.

Even Sir Alex Ferguson lauded him as the most technically gifted player to come out from the youth team.

But he was plagued with behavioural issues off the field including being convicted of intimidating a witness to a knife point robbery.

In 2012, Man United finally lost patience with Morrison and reluctantly allowed him to join West Ham.

Loan spells at Birmingham, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff followed before earning a permanent switch to Lazio.

He would make eight appearances in Rome and was shipped back to QPR on loan before sealing a temporary switch to Mexican side Atlas.

Morrison would then join Swedish side Ostersund before Chris Wilder gave him another lifeline in England.

Last month Morrison hit back at critcism that he never hit the heights expected of him.
