ENGLAND stars headed for a relaxing round of golf on Monday afternoon to take their minds off of the crunch clash with Wales on Thursday.

As the temperature continues to rise as we head towards the meeting between the two sides in Lens, a number of Three Lions took their mind of the clash with a round on the green.

England captain Wayne Rooney was joined by goalkeeper Joe Hart, Tottenham Hotspur pair Harry Kane and Kyle Walker and Liverpool's James Milner on the green at the exclusive Club du Lys Chantilly.

Of the group that played Kane will be the player sweating over his starting place against Wales.

The Spurs striker, who led the Premier League with 25 goals last season, failed to get into any kind of groove against Russia.

He had three shots but didn't find the target once and generally looked isolated against the Russian defence.

England boss Roy Hodgson drew a lot of criticism for failing to take Kane off - and for sticking the striker on corners.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, who scored 24 Premier League goals last season, Daniel Sturridge and teenage sensation Marcus Rashford will all be licking their lips in anticipation of Hodgson making a change.

Senior members of Hodgson's staff have even urged the manager to drop Kane for the vital game.

Wales top Group B after beating Slovakia on Saturday while Vasili Berezutski's injury-time equaliser sunk what had been a decent England performance.

The Three Lions must not lose in Lens.
