Watch Dele Alli take guard dog out for a walk after Tottenham ace was robbed and beaten by knife-wielding thieves
DELE ALLI gave his guard dog a runaround in the park after he was battered by knife-wielding robbers inside his £2million house.
The Tottenham midfielder was left shaken when thugs ransacked his home, punched him in the mouth and stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery in May.
Alli was in a downstairs room with long-time partner Ruby Mae, his adopted brother Harry, Harry’s girlfriend and another male friend when the masked bandits burst in shortly after midnight.
It was even claimed the thieves threatened to kill Alli’s girlfriend’s pooch if he didn’t hand over three watches worth around £350,000 each.
The 24-year-old was believed to have made contact with two firms that provide guard dogs shortly after the terrifying incident.
Now the thieves wouldn’t dare making a return to Alli’s house after seeing the size of his Doberman guard dog.
With plenty of spare time on his hands after being banished from Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham squad, Alli stretched his legs by taking his dog for a walk around Enfield park.
The pooch will provide extra security for Alli and girlfriend Ruby Mae ensuring the ‘horror of an experience’ was just a one-off.
He is the latest Premier League star to invest in a dog to protect his house.
Aston Villa star Jack Grealish splashed out £25,000 on a Belgian Malinois pooch from renowned security firm K9 Chaperone.
The firm are reliable and trusted by footballers – with their previous clientele including the likes of Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Rio Ferdinand.
The highly-trained dogs cost between £10,000 and £25,000 and pups come from police and military backgrounds.
Meanwhile, Alli is fighting for his Tottenham future after Mourinho left him out of the squad for the Carabao Cup clash with Chelsea.
The Portuguese boss has overlooked Alli in three matchday squads including his last two Premier League matches.
With the transfer window shutting on Monday, it is no surprise he is being linked with a move away from the club.
Paris Saint-Germain remain favourites for his signature and want to land him on loan with the option to make it permanent.
