Michy Batshuayi lets Tottenham know he’s ready to leave Marseilles this summer
Belgian hitman also wanted by West Ham but sources say he really favours an £80,000-a-week move to north London
TOTTENHAM target Michy Batshuayi has given the biggest hint yet that he is ready to move to the Premier League.
The Marseilles hitman is on duty at Euro 2016 with Belgium and took an opportunity at a press conference to confirm that he will be leaving his French club.
Batshuayi caught the eye of both Tottenham and West Ham after firing 17 Ligue 1 goals last season.
However, the 22-year-old is thought to favour a switch to Spurs.
The Hammers are said to have already made a £31million bid for him as they look to replace want-away striker Diafra Sakho.
But Batshuayi has reportedly turned down their £80,000-a-week offer.
Spurs are yet to meet Marseilles’ asking price for the former Standard Liege man and are also hesitant over his wage demands, which would make him the joint-highest earner at the club.
Tottenham were heavily reliant on Harry Kane last season, who started every Premier League match and won the Golden Boot for his 25 goals.
On Wednesday afternoon Batshuayi appeared in front of the media after Belgium’s surprise 2-0 defeat to Italy at Euro 2016.
It was here made his hugely revealing comment about wanting to leave Marseilles.
