LEICESTER have confirmed the capture of Spanish defender Luis Hernandez on a free transfer from Sporting Gijon.
The former Real Madrid youth product, 27, left the Bernabeu in 2012 and has since established himself as a regular in the Gijon backline.
Claudio Ranieri has been keen to bring in defensive reinforcements before the Foxes begin their Champions League campaign next season.
Hernandez arrives with a reputation for being a fine ball-playing defender and was key to Gijon staying in La Liga on the final day.
Leicester will be participating in the International Champions Cup, which will see them play Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Celtic.
And Hernandez will link up with the squad on July to begin preparations for the new season.
