Euro 2016: What did Greg Dyke shout in frustration in earshot of Prince William as England drew with Slovakia?

TV viewers left wondering as FA chief caught on camera yelling something next to his royal guest

FOOTBALL fans were left questioning what FA chief Greg Dyke shouted out in earshot of Prince William during England’s Euro 2016 draw with Slovakia.

Dyke spent the whole of the frustrating 0-0 draw sat alongside the royal as the Three Lions blew their chance of finishing top of Group B.

But TV cameras caught the FA chairman shouting out in anguish as Harry Kane squandered a late chance to snatch victory for Roy Hodgson’s men.

And viewers were left to wonder whether the former BBC supremo was just pointing out Kane had missed the opportunity, or muttering something a little more indiscreet.

Both Dyke and William, the president of the English game’s governing body, looked on in despair as the Tottenham striker was unable to direct an 88th minute header on target.

The prince kept his thoughts to himself, but Dyke’s emotions were more visible – and it is not clear whether or not he turned the air blue.

Dyke shouts something in frustration as the chance went begging for England

Dyke hit the headlines earlier this week when he piled pressure on England boss Hodgson to deliver this summer or face losing his job.

And he is no stranger to being caught out by the cameras, having responded to England’s World Cup 2014 draw by making a cut-throat gesture.

England now face a more difficult route through the tournament if they want to win Euro 2016, with hosts France likely opposition in the quarter-finals if both teams come through their last 16 matches.
