Manchester City make £14million bid for Celta Vigo’s Spanish wizard Nolito
Citizens offer matches Celta Vigo's winger's release clause as boss Pep Guardiola aims to beat Barcelona to his signature

MANCHESTER CITY have slapped in a £14million bid for Celta Vigo winger for Nolito.
Incoming Citizens boss Pep Guardiola has been eyeing up a move for the Spain man and has now made his interest official by meeting Nolito’s release clause.
But journalist and Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague says that City will be made to wait by the player, who is holding out to see if Barcelona will also make a bid.
Nolito has been preferred to Chelsea winger Pedro by Spain boss Vicente del Bosque and has played on the flanks at Euro 2016 along with Manchester City star David Silva.
He started in the opening 1-0 Group D win over the Czech Republic before netting in the 3-0 trouncing of Turkey.
Guardiola knows the player well from his time in Barca’s reserve team during the new Etihad chief’s first two years in charge at the Nou Camp.
And his route to the summit of the European game has been a slow burner after he quit the Nou Camp in search of first-team football before ending up at Benfica after he bagged La Liga and the Champions League in 2010-11, making just five appearances in all competitions.
