Leicester transfer news: Foxes and Southampton interested in signing Joe Allen
Liverpool midfielder has been driving force behind Dragon's excellent Euro 2016 but his future at Anfield is uncertain
JOE ALLEN is a target for champions Leicester and Southampton as he continues to shine at Euro 2016.
The Liverpool grafter, 26, is yet to be told on his future at Anfield as he enters the final year of his contract.
After selling Victor Wanyama to Spurs, Saints are in the market for a new defensive midfielder and Allen fits the bill.
His tenacious performances at the heart of Wales' Euro 2016 midfield has also alerted the Premier League champions - who look set to lose highly rated N'Golo Kante.
Allen revealed before leaving for the tournament in France that he was unsure of his future at Anfield and could leave for a fee around £15million.
Swansea are also interested in their former man, but Neil Taylor - Allen's teammate in the Welsh squad - believes that they may be priced out.
He said: "He's going to cost a lot of money now, so I don't know.
"We'd love to have Joe back at Swansea.
"But I think the fact of the matter is a lot of clubs will want him."
Wales face Northern Ireland on Saturday night for a place in the Euro 2016 quarter-finals.
