Tony Sanabria’s agent confirms talks with Tottenham as Mauricio Pochettino looks to snap up Roma striker for league campaign
Spurs hoping to land Paraguay international to ease the burden on first-choice Harry Kane at White Hart Lane next season
TOTTENHAM have made contact with Roma over a move for Tony Sanabria.
That’s according to the striker’s agent, who adds that there should be some movement on the potential transfer next week.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is in the market for a new striker to ease the burden on Harry Kane and has reportedly made Sanabria his top target.
This comes on the back of interest in Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi, who are both valued at well over £30million by their respective clubs.
Tottenham have already moved to sign Victor Wanyama from Southampton and now look set to pursue a deal for Sanabria.
The player is allegedly valued at £11.5m – the same price Spurs paid for Wanyama – and a deal appears to be getting closer after Sanabria’s agent confirmed there had been initial talks with the north London outfit.
