WAYNE ROONEY has eased fears he is carrying an injury by appearing WITHOUT strapping around his ankle.
Fans were rightly worried when the England skipper returned from training on Thursday with his ankle heavily bandaged.
Rooney suffered an ankle injury earlier this season with Manchester United and has been plagued by ankle problems throughout his career.
The striker-turned-midfielder has become a crucial player for the Three Lions at 2016 but the sight of him in strapping sparked fears he could be out of the last-16 clash against Iceland on Monday.
However, Rooney appears to be fighting fit again after leaving England’s team hotel in Chantilly bandage-free.
The captain looked in good spirits despite keeping his teammates waiting on the bus for 10 minutes as Roy Hodgson’s men make preparations for their knockout stage match in Nice.
