CHARITY CASE

Henrikh Mkhitaryan prepared to pay part of his own £26m transfer fee as he forces through move to Manchester United

Borussia Dortmund midfielder has been offered a four-year deal by Jose Mourinho's side worth around £65,000-a-week

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN could force through his move to Manchester United by paying a chunk of his transfer fee himself.

Borussia Dortmund are taking no nonsense from Jose Mourinho’s side, demanding around £26m for a player in the final year of his contract.

But Dortmund might stand no chance if reports that the playmaker is willing to pay a section of his own fee are true as he aims to collect around £65,000-a-week over the next four years.

United would look crazy to part with so much money for a 27-year-old player who will be a free agent in 12 months.

But they might not have to take that much of a hit if reports in Germany that he could pay a part out of his pocket are proved to be true.

Thomas Tuchel’s side is also well aware they could demand around £70m from any of the Champions League’s top clubs if they decide to part with Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Neven Subotic has also revealed through his Facebook page that he is walking out on Dortmund after eight years and he could be on his way to Liverpool.

All the hard work done at Dortmund by Jurgen Klopp appears to be coming undone as the yellow wall crumbles.

The club appears in turmoil, despite finishing second in the Bundesliga last season and guaranteeing their place in the Champions League again.

So it should come as little surprise that the Armenian is also keen to leave what appears, from the outside, a sinking ship of a club.

The free-scoring midfielder scored 18 goals and provided 25 assists last season and was named the Bundesliga Players' Player of the Season.
