But the Marseilles man didn’t just stop there in his social media flurry – he also started following Adidas, who make the Chelsea kit, plus club legend Didier Drogba, potential new team-mate Kurt Zouma and the Chelsea Ladies team.
Reports emerged last night that Chelsea had sent a club doctor to France, where Batshuayi is currently playing for Belgium at Euro 2016, to help the 22-year-old striker undergo his medical after Marseilles accepted a £33million offer from the Blues.
Batshuayi will break off from the team’s training camp in Bordeaux to undergo tests as his transfer to Chelsea nears completion.

Batshuayi had also been linked with Tottenham and Crystal Palace this summer, but unlike the Blues, he does not follow them on Instagram.
Despite Marseilles finishing a lowly 13th in Ligue 1 last season, the Belgium ace Batshuayi was one of the few shining lights, scoring 23 goals for the club in all competitions.
Marseilles are desperate to sell the sought-after hitman. They need to raise £21m or face sanctions from the DNCG, the body which regulates finances in French football.
