RYAN GIGGS admits Zlatan Ibrahimovic will score the goals Manchester United fans desperately craved last season.
New boss Jose Mourinho has made the Swede his second signing of the summer after splashing out on Villarreal’s Eric Bailly, and the United faithful will be hoping Ibra sets the league alight in the new campaign.
Supporters were critical of the regime under former chief Louis van Gaal, who opted for pragmatic tactics over United’s classic attacking mentality.
But the Red Devils can now boast a formidable forward line which also includes Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, and goals look certain to be on the agenda for Mourinho.
However, one man who won’t be there to witness the rebirth of United is club legend Giggs, who decided to end his 29-year spell after Mourinho installed Rui Faria as his new assistant.
But Giggs is confident that the signing of Ibrahimovic will be a huge boost to all involved at United, adding that the veteran striker is the perfect tutor for up-and-coming youngsters including new crowd favourite Rashford.
