REAL MADRID have entered the race for exciting Brazilian Gabriel Jesus.
The Palmeiras striker, 19, is the top scorer in the Brazilian domestic leagues and has been a target for Barcelona for months.
Jesus has a £20million release clause and Barca's director of football Raul Sanllehi has travelled to South America to finalise the deal.
But in a twist arch rivals Madrid have made an offer to the player described as the 'next Neymar' - and are willing to pay him a heftier wage to join them at the Bernabeu.
According to , the player's ownership is complicated and an extra £8.3m could be added to the fee with whoever wins the battle for Jesus' signature.
Palmeiras own 30 percent, the player himself 15 percent and the other 55 percent is split over several different agents.
