How Barcelona could line up if La Liga giants land key summer transfer targets after Neymar sealed mega new Nou Camp deal
NEYMAR finally ended his year-long will-he-won’t-he Manchester United transfer saga this week when he sealed a mega new Barcelona contract.
The Brazil star signed on for five more years at the Nou Camp and his release clause was hiked to an eye-watering £210MILLION – pricing even Jose Mourinho’s side out of a move.
And, with Neymar staying put, Barca will continue to boost the world’s most fearsome attacking line.
The former Santos man netted 31 goals in all competitions for Luis Enrique’s side last season.
And, added to Lionel Messi’s 41 and Luis Suarez’s incredible 59 strikes in just 53 games, that made 131 goals in total for the terrifying triumvirate.
That form led to the MSN formation being valued at a mammoth £435m by stats boffins this week.
But the rest of La Liga giants’ line-up isn’t too shabby either.
And with a wealth of talent linked with mega-moves to the Spanish champions this summer, all areas of the Spanish champions’ team-sheet could be just as frightening as the hallowed front three.
France powerhouse Paul Pogba could be added to a midfield that already boasts Andres Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Javier Mascherano and Arda Turin.
The Juventus ace has also been linked with a £80m return to Old Trafford but SunSport revealed on Saturday that the 23-year-old has his heart set on a move to Spain instead.
And fellow Tricolore hero Dimitri Payet could also join in a huge £45m deal following his scintillating run of form at Euro 2016.
West Ham co-owner exclusively admitted to the Sun: “If Barcelona or Real Madrid made a bid and he wanted to move there, it would be difficult to keep him.”
Another French star, defender Samuel Umtiti, joined the Catalans in a £25m deal last month – but he might not even make the side if Barca can make their interest in Everton prospect John Stones pay.
The England man’s agent reportedly met with Nou Camp chiefs earlier in the summer to discuss a potential £90k-per-week wage packet.
Nothing was signed, but Barca are still ready to rival Manchester City and Chelsea for the £50m centre-half.
And Stones isn’t the last Premier League star set for a sensational summer switch.
Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin is being lined up to replace Juventus-bound Dani Alves.
The Catalan whizkid has long been linked with a Nou Camp return and Barca stars even appeared to be trying to tap the 21-year-old up in a Champions League clash last season.
Leicester stopper Kasper Schmeichel is also reportedly on Enrique’s radar.
Such an array of signings would be likely to see a host of household names dumped on the bench next term.
Incredibly, SunSport’s predicted team would see Claudio Bravo, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Umiti, Mascherano, Turan, Rakitic and Busquets on the sidelines.
Good luck catching them this year Zizou…
