Idrissa Gueye REJECTS Newcastle loan transfer after PSG agree to send him to struggling Toon for rest of season
IDRISSA GUEYE has reportedly rejected the chance to join Newcastle on loan.
French outlet L'Equipe claim Paris Saint-German had reached an agreement with Steve Bruce's side over a move.
But the source states that Gueye has turned down the chance to join the Magpies.
The former Everton star is not against the idea of returning to the Premier League.
But he has no interest in joining Bruce's side - who are 15th in the top-flight table.
Gueye joined Ligue 1 giants PSG in 2019 in a £30million switch from the Toffees.
He made an impressive start to life in France under the management of Thomas Tuchel.
But new PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to offload him to raise funds.
Gueye, who is under contract until 2023, has made 16 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
But he has completed the full 90 minutes just once since October.
