DON'T MENTION THE SCORE

Jose Mourinho: Manchester United boss appears to do his best Basil Fawlty impression while out in Manchester before having heated row with coach Emilio Alvarez

JOSE MOURINHO has been spotted doing his best Basil Fawlty impression while taking a stroll around Manchester city centre after Portugal's 2-0 Euro 2016 semi-final win over Wales.

The Special One was having a break from his preparations for the new season with Manchester United, and inadvertently stumbled upon mimicking the classic 'Don't mention the War' scene from BBC's Fawlty Towers.

Mourinho, who is currently staying at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, bore more than a passing resemblance to John Cleese and his side-splitting scene from the comedy.

Mourinho then appeared to get into a heated row with United coach Emilio Alvarez before heading back to the hotel, hood over his head.

Mourinho made his third United signing yesterday, the £26million arrival of Armenian assist machine Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund.

He had previously added £30million Eric Bailly from Villarreal, plus the mercurial Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The boss said about Mkhitaryan: "Micki is a fantastic player and what I like more is something that is undeniable, which is the number of goals that he scores by not being a striker. His number of goals per season is really high for somebody that is not a striker. The number of assists is also very clear because it shows clearly his creativity, his vision and his concept of collective play, and that is something that I believe is really important for a club like us."
