Jakub Blaszczykowski to Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp eyes reunion with out of favour Borussia Dortmund star at Anfield
Poland winger impressed at Euro 2016 and fits German's philosophy after seven years together in the Bundesliga
JURGEN KLOPP wants a reunion with Jakub Blaszczykowski at Liverpool, according to reports.
The Borussia Dortmund ace, 30, was part of the German's star-studded team which beat Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title in 2011 and 2012.
But Blaszczykowski, who reached the Euro 2016 quarter-finals with Poland, was shipped out to Fiorentina on loan last year and has lost his place under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
Now Klopp is ready to offer him a Premier League lifeline at Anfield, according to .
Dortmund chief Michael Zorc admits Blaszczykowski - nicknamed Cuba - does not have a certain future at the Bundesliga giants.
He said: "Cuba is player of BVB. We will talk in the next few days about his future."
The speedy winger would inject pace into Liverpool's side, and understands Klopp's philosophy well after working with the coach for seven years.
Blaszczykowski is believed to be keen on proving himself to Tuchel and staying at Dortmund.
Klopp is in talks over extending his Kop stay and sees this transfer window and the first to properly stamp his mark on the club.
The German has drafted in Sadio Mane, Joel Matip and Loirs Karius so far, while Kolo Toure, Jordan Rossiter and Jerome Sinclair have all left Anfield.
