Manchester City transfer news: Leroy Sane told to make his mind up over £40million move from Schalke by Pep Guardiola
City boss Guardiola wants to tie up a deal to bring in the Germany international winger from Bundlesliga side before Etihad club head out for China pre-season tour in a fortnight
PEP GUARDIOLA is growing impatient with £40million transfer target Leroy Sane - and has told the Germany international to make his mind over a move to the Manchester City.
Speedster Sane came on as a substitute against France but could not stop Die Mannschaft being dumped out of the Euro 2016 semis.
And now Sane's summer's work is over and done with, City boss Guardiola and the winger's club Schalke are piling the pressure for the 20-year-old to come to a decision.
The Citizens would ideally like Sane signed, sealed and delivered in time for their pre-season trip to China in a fortnight.
The four-cap international is thought to be Guardiola's main attacking target now that he has been forced to shelve plans to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Guardiola wants to add pace - something Sane has in abundance - to his forward line, with Jesus Navas providing it down the wings last season but without any kind of end product.
The City boss already has compatriot Nolito in the bag, after clinching a £13.8m deal from Celta Vigo earlier this summer.
But if the Citizens are to compete on all fronts next season, they will need to bolster their squad and the likes of Nolito and Sane will be seen as vital components in helping ease the burden on Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva.
Sane has long been a City target, even before Guardiola revealed he would be joining the club from Bayern Munich back in February.
Another reason that Guardiola is keen to wrap up a deal is that his former club - who he led to the Bundesliga title last year - are also circling.
A decision from Sane is expected over the coming days, with City chief exec Ferran Soriano having confirmed that he was close to sealing two deals that would have to wait until the Euros are over.
He said: "You need to change three, four or five players in a season. We have two new players, one gone and maybe we're halfway.
“There will be some more. Two deals are close, the other deals are fairly advanced. Some players don't want to announce anything until they [the Euros] are finished.”
City have also shelled out £22.5m on Ilkay Gundogan from Dortmund, while also bringing in Ukrainian starlet Oleksandr Zinchenko from FC Ulfa.
