Hull boss Steve Bruce confirms Tigers are set for talks to sign Wales hero Hal Robson-Kanu
The former Reading striker was without a club as he starred for Wales in France this summer and now his Premier League dream is set to be a reality
HULL manager Steve Bruce has confirmed the club want to sign Wales hero and are "booked in for talks" with the forward in the coming days.
But could face competition from Premier League champions Leicester and a host of other Premier League clubs who interested in signing the former Reading man.
After his Wales heroics, Robson-Kanu, who is eligible to play for Wales through his grandma despite being English, said he has received offers from "around the world."
He said: "I made a decision to run my contract at Reading down. I've been there 12 years, given a lot of service and felt it was the best decision for myself and my career. It's probably one of the best decisions of my life.
"I've made no secret of my desire to play in the Premier League and if that's the best place for me then I'll be there."
Bruce is still plotting to strengthen his newly-promoted Hull side despite being linked with the vacant England manager's role, and said he wants to deploy Robson-Kanu in a role similar to how he performs for Wales as a central striker, rather than a out wide.
Robon-Kanu joined Reading aged 15 after being released by Arsenal and spent nine years there playing over 200 games - as well as having loan spells at Southend United and Swindon Town.
