Mourinho ‘plans shock Marouane Fellaini free transfer swoop as Tottenham eye move with Shandong Luneng deal running out’
TOTTENHAM boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly planning a shock reunion with midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
Mourinho worked with the Belgian at Manchester United and is eyeing a summer swoop to bring him back to the Premier League.
The Chinese club are willing to let Fellaini leave early and the midfielder is eyeing a potential return to England.
The 33-year-old spent two years working under Mourinho at Old Trafford and formed a strong relationship.
He helped United win the Europa League and the League Cup during Mourinho's time in charge.
Fellaini still has unfinished business in the Premier League and is reportedly interested in a return.
The midfielder played down talk of a reunion with Mourinho earlier in the season.

Fellaini told Eleven Sports: "Jose is special for me. We text each other, we call each other from time to time.
"He's taken over at Spurs and he's doing well. I wish him all the best, but I am good where I am now."
But with Shandong Luneng reportedly open to letting him leave this summer a move back to England is a possibility.
Mourinho has always been vocal in his support of the Belgian, once saying: "I think everyone knows Marouane is not Maradona but everyone knows what Marouane can give."
