FRANK LAMPARD won the battle of the former Chelsea stars as New York City beat Didier Drogba’s Montreal Impact 3-1.

First-half strikes from David Villa and Jack Harrison got the visitors off to a flier before Harry Shipp pulled one back.

Drogba, Pirlo and Villa will play in the MLS all-star team to face Arsenal on their pre-season tour.

But Lampard missed the cut after struggling with injuries during his time Stateside.

Liam Ridgewell, Giovani dos Santos, Kaka, Clint Dempsey and Sebastian Giovinco are among the star names selected for the game.

It will be played on July 28 at the Avaya Stadium in San Jose.
