REAL MADRID are preparing to launch an offer in a bid to sign European Championship star Moussa Sissoko after missing out on Andre Gomes.

The Portuguese midfielder opted to join Barcelona over the Bernabeu and now club president Florentino Perez has turned his attentions elsewhere.

Sissoko, who has been linked with Arsenal, has announced his intentions to leave Newcastle following last season's relegation to the Championship.

The 26-year-old impressed during the Euros for France and the Toon have set a whopping asking price of £35million in order to capture his signature.
