JOSE MOURINHO is desperate to land Paul Pogba within the next 48 hours so he can prepare the £112million man for Manchester United's upcoming Community Shield final clash against Leicester.

The midfielder is on the brink of signing a staggering £290,000-a-week deal to join Old Trafford just four years after leaving for Juventus.

Pogba will undergo his medical in LA after agreeing personal terms and the deal could be made official as early as Friday.

Mourinho is determined for Pogba to join up with his new teammates sooner rather than later and wants him available for the clash against Premier League champions Leicester on August 8.

The 23-year-old made his professional debut in 2011 after coming on as a half-time substitute in the League Cup victory over Leeds before making his Premier League bow against Stoke in January 2012.
