Sunderland transfer news: David Moyes preparing bid for Anderlecht giant Kara Mbodj
Black Cats boss has made an enquiry for the Senegalese centre-half who would cost around £8million
SUNDERLAND are ready to bid for Anderlecht giant Kara Mbodj.
New boss David Moyes has made an inquiry about the £8million-rated Senegal defender as he fights a losing battle to keep Lamine Kone.
Centre-half Kone, 27, is wanted by Premier League rivals Everton.
Moyes turned down an initial bid from his former club, but the Toffees will now raise their offer for the Ivory Coast star to £18m.
That could prove too good to turn down for a player who cost the Black Cats £5m from French side Lorient in January.
