MANCHESTER UNITED are making 'progress' in their transfer pursuit of Eduardo Camavinga, according to reports.
And the Rennes wonderkid may be available for as little as £26million this summer.
United have been tracking the 18-year-old midfielder for a while but could now be ready to make their move.
He is out of contract next summer and Rennes understandably would not want to lose their teenage sensation for free.
According to transfer guru , the Old Trafford club are in direct contact to get a deal done.
And he adds Rennes would be willing to accept an offer of around £26m.
However, the Red Devils face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal who are also interested in the three-cap French international.
Real Madrid were linked in the past but their dire financial situation means they are unlikely to sign Camavinga this summer.
Born in a refugee camp in Angola, Camavinga moved to France aged two, joined the Rennes academy at 11 and was the club's youngest professional five years later.
He has racked up 82 first-team appearances across the last three seasons and became France's youngest player and goalscorer since Maurice Gastiger in 1914 last autumn.

United have already sealed the £73m transfer of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
The England man will wrap up his move with a medical and signing his contract after his Euro 2020 ends.
And Raphael Varane could join his international team-mate Camavinga at Old Trafford next season.
Like the teenager, Varane's contract expires next year and United are keen to pounce for £50m with initial talks already underway.
Reports suggest the Real Madrid defender has 'given his word' he wants to sign for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
And as revealed by SunSport, any Varane deal could see Donny van de Beek head to the Bernabeu - initially on loan with an obligation to buy.
