The American publishing giant announced Mbappe had retained his spot on the front of FIFA 22, due for release in the autumn.
His selection means the 22-year-old is the first player to remain cover athlete since Cristiano Ronaldo fronted both FIFA 18 and FIFA 19.
Mbappe said: "Being on back-to-back FIFA covers is amazing.
"I have a very special relationship with the game and look forward to enjoying FIFA 22 alongside all of you."

Mbappe will hope next year's FIFA doesn't carry the same curse that has seemingly plagued a number of it's cover stars in the past.
Despite scoring loads, PSG lost their domestic dominance in the league to Lille while their European campaign also ended in disappointment.
Mbappe then failed to find the net for France at the Euros this summer with his penalty miss costing Les Blues in their match against Switzerland.
The FIFA cover curse has been particularly lethal in recent years, with both Marco Reus and Eden Hazard enduring injury-hit seasons when they debuted on the front of FIFA 17 and FIFA 20 respectively.
Theo Walcott was one of three to grace FIFA 10 only for the winger to miss out on Fabio Capello's England squad for the World Cup.
A year later, Kaka's picture fronted the popular video game series but the Brazilian only mustered 14 games for Real Madrid that season.
Jack Wilshere missed the entire campaign for Arsenal on the year he was FIFA 12 cover star with Mbappe himself suffering a knock last term.
