Tottenham and Sevilla ‘finalising’ Erik Lamela and Bryan Gil swap transfer with Spanish giants also getting £21.5m fee
TOTTENHAM are close to signing Sevilla winger Bryan Gil for £21.5million plus Erik Lamela, according to reports.
The North Londoners will reportedly part with the cash plus add-ons, as well as Argentine winger Lamela, in order to land the former Arsenal target.
Barcelona and Real Madrid were also said to be keen on the winger towards the end of last season.
But Spurs have stolen a march and will complete the deal soon, according to transfer guru .
Gil, 20, burst onto the scene in LaLiga last season.
He spent the campaign on loan at Eibar where he scored four goals and bagged three assists in 28 league games for the club.
The Gunners were keen on the youngster in April.
He has a £43m release clause in his Sevilla contract - which runs until 2023.
But Spurs appear to have got around that by including Lamela, 29, as part of the deal.
Gil, nicknamed 'Little Cruyff', is highly rated and his performances earned him a call up to the Spain squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Greece and Georgia in March.
The three-cap international also played 90 minutes in La Roja's 4-0 friendly win against Lithuania in June.
Lamela has been with Spurs since signing from Roma in 2013.
