JOSE MOURINHO has been accused of embarrassing Jaun Mata during the Community Shield.
The new Manchester United manager replaced second half substitute Mata - and that was out of order, according to BBC pundit Danny Murphy.
The Spaniard, never popular with Mourinho when the pair were together at Chelsea, finds his future once again in doubt.
Especially after being taken off in stoppage time of United’s 2-1 win over Leicester City, having only been introduced 30 minutes earlier.
Mourinho insisted he opted to take-off the midfielder because he was the smallest player on the pitch, suggesting he wasn’t equipped to deal with a last minute onslaught of long balls from The Foxes.

However, former Liverpool midfielder and television pundit Murphy believes Mata was left humiliated in front of his family after being hauled off.
Murphy said: “You don’t do that unless you are trying to send a message.
“They have a lot of history at Chelsea and he [Mourinho] has embarrassed him [Mata] in front of his supporters and his family.”
Mata, 28, had been Player of the Year at Chelsea before Mourinho's second coming to Stamford Bridge but was sold to United in the David Moyes' era.
And there there has been plenty of speculation linking Mata with a move away from Old Trafford since the Mourinho took over earlier this summer.
Added Murphy: “He is basically saying to him you are not important and he has done it publicly.
"I can’t see him still being at the club at the end of August.”
