He had been soaking up some last-minute Spanish sunshine before beginning the new Premier League season.

But new boss Antonio Conte will be pleased to see the former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder's commitment to the new-look side.

The Italian has stirred things up at Stamford Bridge by bringing in N'Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi.

And Fabregas' early end to his vacation is all the proof Conte needs to know the Spaniard is desperate to enjoy a key role this campaign.
