THE new kits have been released for the 2016/17 season and we’ve been given the green light to rate and slate the new styles.
We may not know the offside rule, but we definitely do know how we want a man to look when he’s running around the pitch.
TIPPED FOR THE TOP
Arsenal home
POINTS for keeping their kit the most consistent goes to… Arsenal.
Sticking with their traditional red and white design, Arsenal proves why sticking with what you know can pay off.
Well, when it comes to football kits anyway.
Everton away
YOU just can’t go wrong with an all-navy get-up, as Everton knows oh so well.
This kit may well be the one we would choose to wear – you know, if we had to.
Sunderland away
SUNDERLAND gets top marks for originality.
We love a bit of pink and purple together – Kenzo and Loewe showcased this combo for the new season Autumn/Winter 16 – so this one is right on trend.
Tottenham Hotspur away
MUSTARD is a key colour for AW16 – it was all over the catwalks this season at the likes of Gucci and Valentino.
Wearing it head to toe may be a bit of overkill, but we can let Tottenham off this time.
Liverpool
IN addition to the staple home and away kit, Liverpool FC is totally upping their game in the style stakes with their third alternative kit.
Obviously their colour choice was inspired by the likes of Nina Ricci and Sonia Rykiel who wore head-to-toe red on the catwalks, I mean, who else…
RELEGATION DOGFIGHT
Swansea home
WHITE is so last season. Nobody wants to wear white all over in winter unless it’s chunky knits.
Also it’s totally impractical and will show up all those unwanted grass stains that will ruin the whole outfit.
Swansea, think about what you’ve done.
Bournemouth third kit
WE ARE all for neon on the dance floor but surely this is taking it a step too far for the football pitch?
With this glow-in-the-dark kit, Bournemouth could save on their electricity bills this winter and switch off the floodlights to boost their home advantage.
Manchester City home
IT looks like the inspiration for the new Manchester City home kit was the 2009 fantasy science fiction film, Avatar.
Now all they need is some blue face paint to complete the look.
West Ham home
WE like to change up our accessories more than once a season, so surely West Ham could come up with a more unique design for the latest kits?
They have released a new design for their home kit though, which is better than nothing we suppose.
Watford home
WHILE neon seems to be a popular choice this season we just can’t forgive this bright yellow and contrasting collar on Watford’s home kit.
We were expecting a bit more originality – time to up your game Hornets.
