Arsenal Press Conference: Wenger admits Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are no closer to new Arsenal deals

admitted today that Arsenal's dynamic duo and were no closer to signing new deals with the club - but insisted to fans that there was no need to worry.
The news came during Arsenal's press conference this morning.
When asked if there had been any progress in the negotiations with the star players, which first began in September last year, Wenger's response was clear: “No. We keep that internally and make progress always but it is not always a quick process."
He was quick to add that "There is no reason for Arsenal fans to be concerned."
Although “we have priorities which are a bit different," Wenger felt that a deal could still be reached eventually, and that more talks will occur after the transfer window has closed.
"Most of the time contract extensions are done outside the transfer window because it gives you a bit more time and focus on that."

Ozil and Sanchez, who joined from Real Madrid and Barcelona for £42.5m and £31.7m in 2013 and 2014 respectively, are both coming to the end of their current deals, with less than two years remaining.
The future of the pair has been in question for months, and Wenger's subdued remarks suggest that further progress will probably not be made any time soon.
It would also appear that talks had stalled between Arsenal and Valencia defender . No further news on the agreements was offered as the club struggles to settle on a fee for the 24-year-old.
When asked if he believed Ozil and Sanchez would stay, Wenger's answer was far from emphatic:
"I think so."
