Manchester United transfer news: Adnan Januzaj snapped up by Sunderland boss David Moyes on season-long loan deal
Former Red Devils manager reunited with talented youngster and confirms Everton target Lamine Kone will get new contract

SUNDERLAND have completed the signing of Manchester United outcast Adnan Januzaj on a season-long loan deal.
New Black Cats boss David Moyes confirmed the deal at a press conference earlier today, having given the Belgian his big break at Old Trafford in 2013.
Januzaj travelled with United for their pre-season tour of China this summer but could not do enough to earn a place in Jose Mourinho’s plans for the new campaign.
The 21-year-old’s development came to a shuddering halt under Louis van Gaal last year, with a loan move to Borussia Dortmund also failing to work out.
Januzaj was hoping for a chance to impress Mourinho but now becomes the third Red Devil to move to the Stadium of Light after defenders Paddy McNair and Donald Love completed permanent deals earlier this week.
And Moyes is hoping Januzaj can recapture the form that saw him heralded as one of Europe’s finest whizkids, telling reporters: “Adnan will give us a different variation. I have to get him back to the level he played at two years ago.

“He will get every opportunity to do the business. I’m hoping the Sunderland fans will see the real Januzaj.”
Moyes also confirmed that Everton and Chelsea target Lamine Kone will be handed a new contract after the defender announced he wanted to leave Wearside.
Kone had said: “I can only assume I do not figure in Moyes’ future plans.
“It is with much sadness I have asked the managed to be allowed to leave Sunderland. Until that time I give my word I will give my utmost in training and on the field.”
But Moyes is adamant that Kone will be going nowhere, explaining: “We’ve told Lamine he will be offered a new contract in September.
“Lamine is very much part of my plans. We will renew his contract on September 1. Lamine is a big part of the team, the fans like him and we need him.”
